“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.” -- Bernard M. Baruch
I always get inspired by the surroundings, like the music, the daily news and maybe the tiny things that happen everyday, and I love to express my personal feelings through my design and art work. I sometimes use exaggerated figures to fortify the feelings I want to express.
In this final year collection, the concept based on the radical realism about climate change, glacier is melting, Antarctic ice sheet is shrinking, the living of polar bears in north pole is being restricted with ice platforms moving farther apart, swimming condition become more and more dangerous, fewer hunting opportunities increase scarcity to food.
Gathering, and wrapping knit around the body will be used as the technique to show the restriction and also represent the shape of the melting glacier. Fraying and overstitching to show demolish and repair. By using a more environmental friendly material, recycled denim and other organic fabric, to form the whole collection is to raise the awareness of the climate change issue
