LITTLE SURE SHOT
A AW/21 collection inspired by my childhood obsession with the 1950’s Hollywood film, ‘Annie Get Your Gun’. Driven by the feeling of striving for greatness and success as a female which is portrayed throughout the film.
A relentless, yet romantic ‘Rivalry’ - a juxtaposition of Feminine and Masculine themes created through deconstruction and draping techniques. Heavily influenced by Annie’s medal encrusted ball gown and Frank’s Showman style, while my fascination for body casting created a modern vision and fuelled a conceptualised design process.
New silhouettes, inspired by womanly confidence and Western chaps for the unapologetically tenacious woman, are created throughout the collection.
Dark, neutral tones with hints of passionate red and ‘tarnished’ embellishments. Natural and textured leather style fabrics with bonded and raw edges create a stiffness while lustrous silks form a softer contrast.
