Since beginning my journey as a designer I have always found myself mesmerised by Japan and the culture of Harajuku fashion. Shoichi Aoki is the reason I am so in love with Harajuku fashion and its pure lust for individuality. Aoki is the founder of Fruits Magazine a fashion bible containing weekly snaps of Harajukus street style. I want to continue this sadly lost niche in fashion and bring Harajuku back, along with the nostalgia of other 90s characters.
Some of my biggest influences are Takashi Murakami and Simone Legno, both admirable artists who specialise in animation style design. I see my future in fashion as a bold, electric print designer with my graphic style prints. I would love and aim to bring the Harajuku fashion subculture back into the light and into western cultures with my bright, colourful individual style.
Im going to continue my journey as a print designer to create graphics with my love for the above influences in mind and create my own little world of chaos.
