Creature Comforts
A feminine yet playful S/S21 collection, Creature Comforts is inspired by the nostalgia we feel when we think about our childhoods and the precious time we spent at our Granny’s house. Bursting with patchwork, pearls and print, Creature Comfort is a celebration of our Grandmas – from their style, to their homes to what it truly means to be a Granny. Taking influence from vintage Laura Ashley florals, the prints in this collection are inspired by the meaning of family and the genes that are passed down from our Grandparents to us. Developing the warm, pastelle colour palette from the once bright colours, faded with time, that fill our Granny’s homes, Creature Comforts attempts to replicate the feelings of warmth and happiness that consume us the moment we walk into our Granny’s homes.
pATCHWORKED
By collaborating with Patagonia and drawing upon the feminie aesthetic from Creature Comforts, I have created a sustainable collection from upcycled garments and fabrics donated through Patagonia’s Worn Wear scheme. Combining feminine design, sustainability and outdoor functionality, this A/W21 collection explores why women don’t have to define themselves by one set of rules.
OFF WITH HIS HEAD SIS
Off With His Head Sis is a collaborative project, designing for Burberry’s A/W21 collection. Taking inspiration from a true feminist icon - Mary Tudor, the first Queen of England, this collection emanates power. Looking at Queen Mary’s clothing and the image of power she projected, this collection reimagines the classic Burberry silhouettes, through the eyes of the Queen Mary herself.
