‘Spike’, a muse inspired collection which draws on the fascinating life of Alcides Modesto Molina. Silhouette development began with research into vintage work and military wear, which sparked from personal photographs of ‘Spike’, fighting as a young teenager during the Nicaraguan revolution. Attention to detail is a key attribute to this collection. Nicaraguan heritage and strength of identity played a fundamental part in the design process. Particulary body art, which inspired the development of the ‘shaven into shearling’ technique. The sheepskin has been meticulously cut into using scissors, free hand.
