A Spring/ Summer collection inspired by English Artist, David Hockney, with his bold and unique colours and textured brush strokes depicted in his landscape paintings.
This collection tells a story of rural youth, remiscent of childhood in the Dales, taking influence from Lionel Jeffries, ‘The Railway Children’; the luxurious frilled and gathered frocks of Edwardian period dress with soft and sumptious velvet, satin and silk georgette.
The rich tones of the landscapes inspire the colour palette, delving into vibrancy as well as subdued, through the use of printing with dyes to create a bright but organic touch. The combination of Modern art and contemporary fashion take this sense of heritage and create a fresh and playful collection with a wearability for that everyday cool girl unafraid of bold prints, an inner bohiemian and casual feminity.
