As a designer I am continuously inspired by my surroundings. A pretty picture always start of any of my design processes. Drawing is very important method to me I can record any idea and create illustrated designs.
I am very much an illustrator and find that I get my best design ideas when I put pencil to paper. My sketchbook is my brain and my driving force when it comes to designing and I try to always use a variety of mix media to inspire every option.
The inspiration for my final collection was come from Chinese traditional minority. My design is focused on the traditional Miao womanswear silhouette. For the fabrics, I keep the traditional fabric and mix a chic element to create contemporary fashion style. “navy” is my collection name. The navy is Miao mainly dyestuff that symbolizes
