Kate SKELTON
Kate is a colour driven designer, and incorporates new textile techniques into her work. With experience in Menswear and Womenswear, her strengths lie in designing garments that display exciting colour palettes.
This collection begins in 1970’s Brooklyn, the birthplace of Hip-hop culture, and subsequently the muse for the collection, the graffiti artist Jean Michel Basquiat. Basquiat’s casual mix of sportswear and loose tailoring influenced the shapes of this collection, alongside the bold brush strokes and collage paintings he created. Kate re-works key 80’s items such as the tracksuit, for a modern customer in the high-end market. This is a Menswear collection for the new creative, artist and follower of fashion alike.
