First impressions matter. This applies to both life and in design. In a modern world where we are constantly
stimulated and flooded with images and sounds, it is important to be bold and stand out from the crowd. Thats why as a designer I draw inspiration from the unusual, the niche and the obscure in order to grab attention and to make an impact. Once my inspiration is established, I like to push the boundaries through the use of my materials and the printing process in order to produce a desirable, intimate and distinctive print. Longevity is something that is an important feature in my designs as they are more likely to withstand the test of time. Bold prints, embellishment and a bright colour palette often feature in my designs as ‘life is too short to wear boring clothes’.
