MIND THE GAP
The inspiration for this collection comes from my late grandad, who worked on railways his whole life. It has focused on railway workers, the way they lived and the conditions they worked in. Focusing on creating an hourglass and linear silhouette to juxtapose the menswear elements of the railway navvies along with the woman who would be wearing this collection.
This collection has reoccurring elements such as paneling to create unusual volume and shape. It is important for the wearer to feel comfortable in the clothing. Tech-wear materials were used such as nylon, and neoprene.
